Starfish Crochet Pattern Graph Details

I used the mini-hdc c2c crochet technique for this square and I ended up with a 9″ x 9″ square. You could certainly choose to use the standard dc technique which would give you a larger square. However, at 9″x 9″ this would be the perfect size for a cute summer themed dish cloth, too!

The Starfish square is a little more “cutesy” than my previous squares with the addition of the smiley eyes and mouth. I think it added an adorable touch to the square but you could certainly change it up by removing those elements from your square if you choose.

I used Yarnspirations’Caron Simply Soft yarnfor my squares – I love how soft this yarn is which is perfect for blankets. However, you could certainly substitute your favorite medium worsted #4 weight yarn to get a similar result.
